The first working day in Haapsalu

It took a long time to go through all the presentations and get to know each other. When all the presentations were shown the students were divided into four groups and the Info Technology Students of Haapsalu Vocational Education and Training Centre - Kristjan Sootalu and Janar Milbach gave a brief review how to make a video and use different video making programs. Then the groups had time to think about their topics and write down the first ideas. The IT students of HKHK will be supporting the teams through the whole video making process and giving technological advice for those who need it.
At the same time the teachers gathered at the school library to discuss the problems and prevention work connected with the usage of alcohol, tobacco and drugs among the students. It was interesting to get to know how the things are arranged in different countries and to have a chance to chat with the colleagues. Guðbjörg Einarsdóttir from Iceland and Per Borggren from Sweden
Eija Raisk from Finland
Enna Kallasvee from Estonia
Hans Olav Gjendem from Norway
Anatolijs Sokols from Latvia
After the lunch at the school canteen Triin Sokk, the representative of Estonian foundation Healthy Estonia gave a lecture about drug- alcohol and tobacco addiction. The students were involved into discussion about the topi and they could ask questions and talk about their opinions. Together they tried to find out why young people are so easily addicted to drugs and why it is so difficult to say no. At the end of the lecture the students were shown some well known and popular Estonian alcohol TV commercials and that lead the day into the last event to draw the first plan of the video the groups are going to make.
